Comparing to 2000, the ratio of people nowadays using a mobile application to check
the information of weather is increasing. People use the mobile application to check
information usually because it is more convenient and clear. Therefore, we would
like to improve the design of weather application in the mobile interface to eliminate the
unnecessary functions, for example, the form filling and scrolling. Although most of
the application users in Hong Kong also downloaded the “MyObservatory," the
information is still not general and cannot take care all users’ needs. Therefore, we
choose “HK Weather Nowcast," compare to the “MyObservatory," it is more lack of
information and not user-friendly. We are not going to improve the interface of the
application but also design a new style and make it more interactive to attract more
users and take care more categories of users.
